Vacations on Mars
A group "Mars one" has planned to send 100 humans on Mars on one - way trip. There are more than 200,000 applications arrived for the trip, from which 100 are going to be selected. Although they provided the link "Meet the mars 100" on the front page of their website which is currently not working.
About Mars One, is a not-for-profit foundation that will establish a permanent human settlement on Mars. Human settlement on Mars is possible today with existing technologies. Mars One's mission plan integrates components that are well tested and readily available from industry leaders worldwide. They have been added the caption on first page of the website which says :
"Human Settlement on Mars Mars One will establish a permanent human settlement on Mars. Crews of four will depart every two years, starting in 2024. Our first unmanned mission will be launched in 2018. Join the Global Mars One Community and participate in our mission to Mars."
Mars is the still the mystery as only half of unmanned mission are successful. The journey itself is expected to take around seven months, and a recent MIT study found that, should the first explorers succeed in landing, using current technology they would likely survive just 68 days.
What can anyone say about it. It is just the start of new era. So get ready for it.
