Lenovo laptops comes with preintalled malwares

• In Jan, lenovo itself confirmed such adware, Superfist, which is included as standard on its laptops acts as "man in the middle" for accessing private data for advertising purposes.


• Superfish, as per as Lenovo, was discontinued in Jan, but your computer may have the same if you own the Lenovo Laptop.


• Superfish is currently ranked forth on list of fasted growing companies in US. It's major functionality to analyzes the images you see during browsing and give you the options similar to the same.


• An unrestricted root certificate authority is provided to this adware which is capable of producing spurious SSL certificates whenever a secure connection is requested. By creating such things SuperFish is able to perform its advertising tasks even on secure connections.


• SuperFish, itself able to injecting ads and reading secure information from the pages that should be private.


• Most importantly, Lenovo defended its used of Superfish by arguing that it does not profile or monitor user behavior and record user information. Also, in another comment, pointed out that user are presented with terms of use and the privacy policy for the product.


• It enables us to remove the software from the installed list but it was noticed that uninstalling Superfish does not remove the root certificate.
