Trendy Programming Languages 2015
Today I came across an interested article about the programming languages we must know in 2015. Here are the some highlights :
According to the article : Programming profession is in full swing in terms of job opportunities and money. According to US Bureau of Statistics, jobs in this segments will grows 8% over the next seven years. And if you are expert in your area then you can earn up to $300 per hour.
Director of online learning platform Lynda, Doug Winnie made a list of programming languages which are most in demand :
1. JAVA : Used in Modern Enterprise Web Application, Native Android Apps etc.
2. JAVASCRIPT : Every modern website used Javascripts for Animation, Validation, UI etc.
3. C# : Used in most modern Web Applications using Azure, .NET, Window Services, Desktop Apps, Games, Utilities, and many more.
4. PHP : Open source is big plus for this one. Used in many website from big scale to small one, from Facebook to blogging, data-driven websites etc.
5. C++: Provide low level control of the Applications. Used for desktop applications, driver, hardware communication, gaming, consoles and mobile devices etc.
6. Python: Used in Web apps, UI, data analysis, statistics, data scientists etc.
7. C: Used in embedded systems, system kernels, system integration and for having low level control of application like C++.
8. SQL: Used for storing GB's of data.
9. RUBY: Used to kickstart projects in record time, prototying for large web apps and many more.
10. Objective C: Apple language to develop apps on MacOSX and for iPhone.
11. Perl: Scripting languages used in many platforms and consider as a key tool for any IT professional.
12. .NET: Key Microsoft framework for cloud services & app development.
13. VB: Visual Basic is a key language of .NET Platform. Used for automation, and other desktop applications.
14. R: R is related to big data and must know language for anyone of serious data analysis.
